RDR 2100 RADAR
Vertical Profile weather radar with many sophisticated features such as Automatic Range Limiting (ARL), which alerts the pilot to the possibility of a foreground storm cell blocking the picture of a more distant cell.
For aircraft equipped with a Multi-Function Display (MFD), the RDR 2100 can provide split-screen view to show both vertical and horizontal views simultaneously, sector scan to provide more-frequent updates, and log scale to show nearby storms in large detail while still allowing the pilot to see distant storms.
Exclusive Vertical Profile system scans vertically at azimuth selected by pilot using track line. Enables user to examine angle of cell's leading edge to determine direction of movement, check "radar tops" , and clearly distinguish between ground and weather returns. Fully stabilized to +-30 degrees combined pitch and roll. Four levels of color with switchable ranges of 5, 10, 20, 40, 80, 160, 240, and 320nm. Horizontal scan angle of 120 degrees, vertical scan angle of 60 degrees. Output 6.0kW (rated). Fully EFIS compatible using ARINC 429 and ARINC 453 data bus structure.25.7lbs/12.02kg
